The Friendship Academy
Early Intervention Transition Program
Our Early Intervention Transition Program is designed to support young learners in Pre-K through 1st grade as they build the foundational social, emotional, and academic skills needed for long-term success. This full-day program (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) provides a nurturing, structured environment tailored to children who benefit from extra guidance in executive functioning, emotional regulation, and social interactions.
With a focus on individualized support, small group instruction, and hands-on learning, we help children thrive during a critical stage of development.

At Friendship Formulas, we use evidence-based, developmentally appropriate programs to support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Our curriculum is designed to meet each learner where they are and help them grow with confidence and joy.
📖 Reading – Fundations®
We use the Fundations program to build strong foundational reading skills. Through fun, multi-sensory activities, children learn phonics, decoding, spelling, and comprehension. This structured literacy approach supports early readers and helps set them up for long-term success.
✍️ Writing – Handwriting Without Tears®
Our writing instruction is based on the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, which emphasizes proper letter formation, spacing, and sentence structure. It’s a hands-on, playful approach that helps children develop fine motor skills and confidence in their writing abilities.
➕ Math – Everyday Math & Illustrative Mathematics
We combine Everyday Math and Illustrative Mathematics to help children build a deep understanding of numbers, patterns, and problem-solving. Math is taught in a way that’s active and engaging, using real-life scenarios, games, and group activities to bring concepts to life.
🔬 Science – Exploration & Inquiry-Based Learning
Our science curriculum encourages curiosity and hands-on discovery. Children learn about life science, earth science, and physical science through experiments, nature walks, observations, and inquiry-based projects that inspire them to think like scientists.
🌍 Social Studies – Community & Culture
Social studies lessons help children understand their place in the world. We explore topics like community helpers, historical figures, geography, and cultural celebrations. Lessons are interactive and discussion-based, fostering empathy, respect, and global awareness.
